Yoga Belfast was established in 2007 by Chandra Mauli and Julie Preston, who have over 45 years combined yoga experience.
Our vision is to offer a wide range of creatively designed classes to meet the yoga needs of all those within our communities in Belfast City Centre and East Belfast, so that anyone who wishes to enjoy the many benefits this ancient practice offers, can take part, regardless of age, size, gender, fitness or experience. We truly believe yoga can be for everyBODY and that it is one of the most effective methods available for living a healthier, more balanced and contented life. For us, yoga is not just what you do on a mat, its about how you live your life day to day. There is no one way to practice yoga, as we are all unique in our bodies and our life experiences, so we invite our students to meet their yoga practice from where they currently are, and to let it grow naturally with encouragement and skillfully led classes that allow everyone to feel included.
Maybe you'd just like to be more flexible, and feel better in your body, or perhaps you'd like to reduce your stress levels to feel more at peace with life's challenges. Whatever your reason for taking up yoga, or continuing with your yoga practice, we will assure you of a warm friendly welcome from highly experienced and qualified teachers who have a genuine love of yoga and its many benefits. Across the wide range of our classes offered, all will include sharing the basic yogic principles of proper exercise, breathing, relaxation, positive thinking and concentration/meditation so that you have a holistic workout for body, mind and soul to leave you feeling enriched and inspired.
