New to Yoga

Yoga is open to anyone, no matter what your age, your levels of fitness/flexibility/stamina or your experience.   At Yoga Belfast we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of excellent skillfully led classes, by passionate experienced teachers,  to help you start your yoga journey.

If you're completely new to yoga, we'd recommend our 7 week structured beginners course which is held on Thursday evenings 8.00-9.30pm at Gilnahirk Primary School.  You'll be amazed how much progress you make in such a short time by attending this course – not only will your body start to feel stronger, fitter and more flexible, but you'll also learn lots about the holisitc approach to health and well-being that yoga offers, and start to feel the benefits in your day to day life of feeling less stressed, and more balanced.  Its also lots of fun, and a very encouraging place to start, as you'll be with other people who are also trying yoga for the first time.  Julie from Yoga Belfast who teaches these courses says  “ in ten years of sharing this course with so many students, it never ceases to amaze and inspire me the beautiful transformation that occurs in such a short period of time.  The students do things they never thought possible, and tell me how they are sleeping better, feeling more healthy in their bodies, and finding day to day life less stressful, finding more peace and balance within themselves.  I LOVE teaching this course so much, I feel its a real honour to work with those starting on this incredible journey of self-discovery”

If the beginners course doesn't suit your schedule, we have some other great options for you to start up your yoga practice with Yogabelfast.

Any of our Yoga for Everybody and All Levels Classes are open to beginners.  We offer a wide choice of options in varying locations in East Belfast and City Centre, between drop in, and sign-up classes so you can choose how you'd like to practice.  Its often helpful at the beginning to make a committment to your practice for at least a few weeks so you can start to feel the initial benefits, and in turn it assists you in honouring a regular time each week that's just for you, for your health and well-being.
